FEATURE-AI ASSISTANT
Just tell it what you need done.
Search, schedule, reschedule, cancel, or draft homework — right from ClassOps' search bar, in plain English. It looks up the details on its own, so you don't have to.
Ask AI
⌘K → Ask AI
01-WHAT IT CAN DO
Four things people ask it for most.
Search anything
Find a student, a class, a lead, or an upcoming session by name — no need to know an ID or dig through menus.
Reschedule & cancel
Move a session to a new time, or cancel it — no digging through the calendar to find it first.
Draft homework
Ask for a homework draft for a class or topic — it creates a draft for you to review and publish, never posts it on its own.
Create leads, trials & sessions
Add a new lead, book a trial, or schedule a session from a single sentence.
02-THE SAFETY MODEL
It asks before it acts.
Looking things up is instant. Anything that changes your data — creating, cancelling, or rescheduling — always pauses on a plain-English summary first. Nothing is written until you approve it.
Reads run instantly
Searching, looking up a student, or asking what's on this week never needs approval.
Writes always confirm
Creating, cancelling, or rescheduling shows you exactly what will happen — you approve or decline.
Same permissions, always
It runs through the same API and role checks as the rest of ClassOps. No hidden access.
Drafts, not publishes
Homework drafts are created for your review — publishing to students is always a separate, human step.
Try asking it something.
Press ⌘K in ClassOps and switch to the "Ask AI" tab, or start a free account and try it on your own classes.
Common questions
Can the AI assistant cancel or reschedule a class for me?
Yes. Ask it in plain English — "move tomorrow's piano lesson to 5pm" or "cancel Thursday's ballet class" — and it will resolve the class and session for you. It always shows you exactly what it's about to do and waits for your approval before anything changes.
Does the AI make changes without asking?
No. Search, lookups, and read-only questions ("what classes do I have next week?") run immediately. Anything that changes data — creating a lead, trial, or session, cancelling, or rescheduling — pauses and shows you a plain-English summary first. Nothing is written to your account until you confirm.
What data can the assistant access?
The same data and permissions you already have. It runs through the exact same API and role checks as the rest of ClassOps — the confirmation step is a safety rail on top of that, not a separate access system, so a teacher account never sees more through the assistant than it would through the regular dashboard.
Can it draft a homework assignment?
Yes. Ask it to draft an assignment for a class, grade, or topic and it creates a draft you review, edit, and publish yourself — it never posts an assignment to students without you explicitly publishing it.
Where do I find it?
Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere in ClassOps to open search, then switch to the "Ask AI" tab — or just start typing a request and click the inline "Ask AI" suggestion.
