Common questions
Can my students pay in their own local currency?
Yes, if you connect Stripe. Stripe supports 135+ currencies, so a student can pay in their own currency with the card or local payment method available to them, while you receive payouts in your own currency and bank account.
Do I need a US or UK bank account to get paid?
No. You connect your own Stripe account during setup, and payouts go to your own local bank account — you do not need a foreign bank account or business entity in another country. Available payout methods and currencies depend on your country and your connected Stripe account.
What if a student wants to pay cash or by bank transfer instead?
That works too. Record cash and bank transfer payments manually in ClassOps, mark fees paid or pending, and they sit in the same payment history as your Stripe payments — no separate spreadsheet.
What fees apply?
Stripe charges its own processing fees, and ClassOps applies a small platform fee on top, shown clearly before you connect. There are no setup fees or monthly minimums to start accepting payments.
I teach students in several different countries — does that complicate things?
No. Every student pays through the same checkout link or invoice regardless of where they are, and every payment lands in the same payment history against that student's record. You do not manage separate payment setups per country.
